Cynthia Cole
SPEEA Area VP

Newly elected SPEEA Area Vice President and Local 2001 President Cynthia Cole began her career at the Boeing Company in 1978 and shortly thereafter joined the Local. Throughout her years working as an engineer at Boeing, Cole has been active in SPEEA, serving the membership in a number of different roles.

After 14 years as SPEEA Area Representative, Cole was elected as a SPEEA council representative in 2001. In 2002, she was voted to serve as Northwest Regional Vice President, a position she held until she was elected to serve as SPEEA’s President in March 2006.

Born in Georgia, Cole grew up in Lancaster, California near Edwards Air Force Base. She earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from California State Polytechnic University and completed her masters in Business Administration in Technology and Engineering Management from City University. Before coming to Boeing, she worked for Rockwell International on the Space Shuttle program in Palmdale, California.
Cole was a picket site co-captain during the 40-day strike and serves on the Joint Benefits Committee and the Negotiations Team.
