REPORT OFFICERS

 

EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING WE VOTED ON SEVERAL ISSUES

  1. GETTING HELP TO FILE ULP
  2. PRES. WANTS TO GO TO WASHINGTON, DC FOR FLSA MEETING

WITH ALL CONCERN PARTIES, AND TAKE A PERSON.

  1. PRES. STATED THAT WE NEED TO GIVE TO ONLY ONE CHARITY

THIS YEAR. THE CHARITY WAS NOT PICKED YET.

ALL EB MEMBERS WERE IN AGREEMENT ON THE ABOVE THREE ISSUES.

 

UNION CONTRACT: VICE PRES LENNY ANDALIS AND BILL HETTINGER STATED THEY WOULD TOUCH BASE WITH HOWARD LANDRY AND MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR CONTRACT. PRES DENNIS GALLAGHER WANTS TO ACCOMPLISH THE CONTRACT THIS YEAR. PRES ALSO WENT OVER SOME OF THE ITEMS WE WOULD LKE TO SEE ADDRESSED IN THE CONTACT.

 

  1. PARKING, ADMIN LEAVE, REAL PAY COVERAGE OUT AT SEA,

PARAS, ON THE SPOT AWARDS, AND HIGH/LOW.

GRIEVANCES: 3 PENDING, NEGOTIABILITY ISSUES: NONE, ADR: ONE

MSPB: NONE, ULP: ONE.

 

FLSA ISSUE: FINAL NEGOTIATIONS NEXT MTG. 16 OCT 02

NAVSSES ACCRETION OF DUTY: REQUESTING ARBITRATION.

THE RIF IN PWC IS ON-GOING. THE PEOPLE AFFECTED ARE OUT OF A JOB ON 30 SEP 02.

 

ITS IMPORTANT FOR ALL STEWARDS TO BECOME ACTIVE IN REPRESENTING THEIR BARGAINING MEMBERS.
