Fair Pay Vote Defeated in Senate
IFPTE is disappointed that the 60 votes necessary to invoke cloture (stop a filibuster), and move to final Senate passage on the Fair Pay Restoration Act was unsuccessful. See how your Senators voted on cloture of the bill.
NOTE: Senator Reid's 'no' vote was a procedural maneuver typically turned to by Senate Leadership to allow him to revisit consideration of this bill. Senator Reid is a supporter of the bill and would have voted 'yes' to cloture if the Senate had 59 other affirmative votes.
