Public Sector Employees:

Opportunist governors in places like New Jersey and Wisconsin are falsely pinning the blame for their treasury shortfalls at the feet of dedicated public servants

Stimulus Package

Instead of a thoughtful response to State budget crisis' that were caused by the worst financial collapse since the Great Depression, opportunist governors in places like New Jersey and Wisconsin, just to name two, are falsely pinning the blame for their treasury shortfalls at the feet of dedicated public servants. While not a single one of the Wall Street culprits who were responsible for creating this crisis have been charged with a crime, lawmakers are forcing State and Local government workers to accept drastically reduced salaries, pensions, health benefits, and even pink slips.

As if this were not enough, some federal lawmakers in the 112th Congress are piling on by introducing legislation promising no federal aid to help State governments deal with their budget shortfalls, and by attacking public sector worker pensions.
