Tens of thousands of professionals throughout the United States and Canada have organized a union under IFPTE in order to have a meaningful voice in their workplace. Our members have made a commitment to assist other professionals interested in forming a union under IFPTE based on democratic principles.
IFPTE represents more than just engineers. Women and men working in a wide variety of professions are proud members of IFPTE, such as judges, auditors, technicians, scientists, and researchers, to name a few. IFPTE has a proven track record of assisting professionals in organizing unions, in providing technical and legal advice, and in advocating their issues.
To become a member of IFPTE you either (1) need to be employed where one of our affiliates/Locals has a collective bargaining agreement with an employer or (2) you and your colleagues need to form/organize a union with IFPTE at your place of employment.
