2013 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Award Winners

IFPTE is honored to announce the winners of the 2013 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Awards Program. From the many remarkable applicants, only three $2,500 scholarships could be awarded to children and/or grandchildren of IFPTE members in the public, private, and federal sectors.

Scholarship applicants were judged on academic achievement, school and community activities, and on an essay entitled What Being a Member of a Union Family Means to Me. We proudly present the 2013 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Award winners.

Public Sector

Tiffany A. Mao earned the scholarship award for IFPTEs Public Sector. The daughter of Local 21 member Robert Mao, Tiffany graduated from Oakland Technical High School in Oakland, CA. This fall she will attend Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.

Federal Sector

Walter I. Barrett earned the scholarship award for IFPTEs Federal Sector. His father, Robert Kalani Barrett, is a member of IFPTE Local 121. Walter graduated from Kamehameha Schools - Kapālama in Honolulu, Hawaii and will attend Pitzer College in the fall.

Private Sector

Jacqueline C. Beal earned the scholarship award for IFPTEs Private Sector. The daughter of Local 2001 member Mysty Beal, Jacqueline graduated from Mt. Rainier High School and will attend Whitworth University.

Scholarship applications for the upcoming 2014 school year will be available online in December.
