A Night to Celebrate Dee Gorczyca's 41 Years of Service to IFPTE

IFPTE Local members and leaders throughout New Jersey and the Atlantic Area gathered outside of Trenton on Thursday night to pay tribute to IFPTE International Representative Dolores Gorczyca as she prepares to retire after 41 years of service as an IFPTE member, Local 195 staff, International Secretary-Treasurer, and International representative.

The event, which was organized by IFPTE International Representative Karen Bellamy-Lewis, was a look back at Dee’s long career of helping countless IFPTE members and families, and her work in the larger labor movement toward improving the working lives of working women. Many leaders and members from IFPTE Locals in New Jersey paid tribute to Dee, including from NJCSA Council 21, Locals 194, 195, 196, 200 and leaders from the International.

The comments of Newark Council 21 leaders Jerusha Schulze and Sean Small, which rounded out the evening tributes, said it best when describing Dee’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the health and future of their Local is strong. Thank you Dee from your IFPTE family!
