After Sixteen Unions Express Opposition, OPM Director Nominee George Nesterczuk, Withdraws from Consideration

Last week IFPTE joined a letter signed by sixteen labor organizations to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in opposition to the nomination of George Nesterczuk to be OPM’s next Director, informing lawmakers that if confirmed he will, “attempt to do a great deal of damage to members of the federal workforce and their due process rights.” Read the labor letter here, and a Washington Post and GovExec articles reporting on his withdrawal.
