Army Seeks to End Worker Childcare Subsidy Program - IFPTE Weighs-In

IFPTE sent a letter to the House Armed Services Committee leaders this week in opposition to the Department of Army's decision to discontinue the much needed childcare subsidy program aimed at helping civilian workers provide for care for their children during the work day.

Pointing to the Army's $182 billion budget for FY2019 - a $13 billion increase over last year - IFPTE called the decision "puzzling" and asked House Armed Services Committee leadership to "urge the Army to reverse course on this misguided effort."
