Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ) Holds Its Annual Training Conference

This week nearly 200 members of IFPTE Judicial Council 1/The Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ, Judicial Council 1) gathered in Charleston, South Carolina to participate in the unionís annual training conference. This yearís conference, which provided for three days of programming classes to AALJ members in attendance, was entitled Essential Body Systems II: Neurological Disorders.

As a part of the events, AALJ President Judge Marilyn Zahm presided over a post-work hours meeting in which IFPTE President Paul Shearon addressed members regarding the AALJís outstanding efforts in protecting the judicial independence of AALJ members. Shearon also applauded the overall legislative efforts of the AALJ, particularly AALJ Vice President Judge Linda Stagno, in the Localís joint legislative efforts with IFPTE to procure a federal employee pay raise, and protect federal worker pensions and health benefits.
