DPE Joins IFPTE in Condemning Draconian PAGE Act

The Department for Professional Employees (DPE) sent a letter to the House of Representatives opposing the inaccurately titled Promote Accountability and Government Efficiency Act (PAGE Act). The legislation, sponsored by Congressman Todd Rokita (R-IN), would make all newly hired federal workers 'at will' employees, do away with worker due process rights, and aims to cripple the ability of federal union officials to represent their members.

In the letter, DPE President and former IFPTE President Paul Almeida, warned lawmakers that the legislation, "would undermine the professional integrity of federal employees...". Read DPE's full letter below.
