Day 2 Consideration of House Minibus Focuses on DOD Spending – IFPTE Weighs In

As the House continues to consider HR 3219, a Minibus appropriations measure for Fiscal Year 2018 that included DoD spending, IFPTE sent a letter to House lawmakers in support of and opposition of several expected amendments, including urging passage of a Kilmer/Jones bipartisan amendment to block costly A-76 privatization efforts that would lead to lost jobs and reduced, but more expensive taxpayer services.

IFPTE wrote that, “To date, the DoD has yet to provide Congress with a proper accounting and thus IFPTE urges that the moratorium remain in place at least until that essential information is provided to the SASC and HASC.”
