The Central States Council (CSC) held its fall meeting in Chicago on October 22, 2016. Officers were elected and new members were in attendance. CSC bylaws permit any dues paying IFPTE union committee member in good standings to hold an officers position.

We discussed things from the upcoming elections, growing membership, retirements and continuing to hold our meetings twice a year. We were in agreement that twice a year would allow us to work through issues as they came up and not have to wait. Business was completed early and plane flights were hours away, lunch was held next door to our conference location, Gulliver's Pizza and Pub, and great Chicago pizza was shared by all.

The officers of the Central States Council were all re-elected to their positions. They are:

Mike Rudolf - President, IFPTE Local 92 (also IFPTE Midwest Vice President)
RMatthew Joyce - Vice President, IFPTE Local 2001
Donna Lehane - Secretary, IFPTE Local 2001
Larry Chojnacki - Treasurer, IFPTE Local 92 (retired)

Missing was Patricia Sibley, retired City of Chicago Parks Department and the CSC's past Treasure, and Terry Antisdel, retired Local 81 member. Several other members who have attended when they can were missing too. We hope they can make our spring meeting on April 22, 2017, same location and time.
