House Continues to Target Official Time, IFPTE Weighs-in

This week the House of Representatives considered a bill (HR 1293) that involves requiring agencies to report to Congress on the use of official time. While IFPTE informed lawmakers that the union is fully supportive of accurate and transparent data, IFPTE also pointed out that what might appear as a reasonable bill is legislation that is actually a one-sided bill whose true intention is to ultimately end the use of official time in the federal government.
