House Follows Senate’s Lead – Strips Due Process Rights from Veterans Administration Workers

This week, the House voted overwhelmingly for legislation (S. 1094) that effectively turns back the clock on the due process rights of VA workers and their unions’ ability to defend them. The House vote comes after last week’s Senate approval of S. 1094. As IFPTE did before last week’s vote, the union sent a letter of opposition to lawmakers, informing them that “the content of the legislation does nothing to address any alleged problems with the VA, and will harm the services provided to our Veterans, not improve them.” President Trump is expected to sign the bill into law.
