IFPTE Applauds Bipartisan Group of Twenty-Eight House Members Who Seek a Repeal of the DoD Long Term Employee Travel Per Diem/Lodging Cuts

Led by Hawaii Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa and North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones, twenty-eight House members signed a letter this week to House Defense appropriators seeking a DoD spending bill that includes, “the reversal of per diem rates for traveling Department of Defense (DoD) employees.”

The letter went on to inform appropriators that, “military personnel and DoD civilians should not have to foot the bill when they travel in service to our nation.” Read the full letter below.
