IFPTE Joins with National Women's Law Center in Support of Compensation Data Collection

IFPTE joined a coalition letter led by the National Women's Law Center this week aimed at protecting the collection of pay data by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

The letter, sent to Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Mick Mulvaney, was in response to an effort by the Chamber of Commerce and other business interests to prevent the EEOC from continuing to collect the pay data. The data, used in part to track and determine compensation discrimination, will not only lead to better enforcement but will also give policymakers more informed data by which to guide their policymaking when it comes to compensation disparities.

IFPTE, a longtime advocate for better tracking of collection of employment data, was one of 90 organizations to sign the letter. Read the full letter here.
