IFPTE Local 92, First Local to Join PAC Program in 2017

Members of IFPTE Local 92 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin welcomed IFPTE legislative staff to their monthly meeting to discuss, in part, the IFPTE LEAP PAC Program.

The IFPTE PAC Program, a major focus at IFPTE's 2015 Convention where delegates voted to make it a priority of the union to build the PAC between conventions, allows members themselves to better support IFPTE's legislative program through supporting the PAC.

Members were notified about how the PAC can be a successful tool in reaching success on the issues impacting their membership. Issues such as retirement security, preserving collective bargaining rights and ending damaging sequestration cuts to the federal budget were discussed.

IFPTE Local 92 committed to continuing participation in the PAC program moving forward, joins IFPTE Locals 1, 3, 4, 30,32, 70, 121, and 2001 who joined the LEAP Year program in 2016. IFPTE Local 400 in Rhode Island is set to join the program this year.
