IFPTE Sends Large Contingent to MTD Conference

This week members from IFPTE Local 121 attended the annual Metal Trades Department (MTD) Conference in Las Vegas.

The Conference included presentations from Union Veterans Council Executive Director Will Attig and Rear Admiral Stephen Williamson, a panel of experts presenting on safety and health training, and a presentation from MTD President Jimmy Hart about the importance of organizing.

A highlight of the Conference was a recorded video message from NAVSEA Commander Vice Admiral Thomas Moore where he concluded a speech to attendees saying, "God Bless the Unions, God Bless our Navy, and God Bless our Country."

IFPTE Local 121, which represents federal employee in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, were represented by Jamie Hiranaka, president of the Local, and Ben Toyama, the Local's secretary-treasurer and former Western Federal Area Vice President, among several other IFPTE Local 121 members.
