IFPTE and NAIJ/Judicial Council 2 Urge Congress to Protect Judicial Independence in Our Immigration Courts

While applauding Representatives Will Hurd (R, TX) and Pete Aguilar (D, CA) bill (HR 4796) to provide relief for DACA recipients and provide resources and training for more Immigration Judges, IFPTE also tells the two congressmen “that your legislation is the correct legislative vehicle to protect the independence of immigration judges in order to assure due process for those who appear before them, as well as protect the integrity of the Immigration Courts.”
