Join Labor's 'National Day of Action' on June 3 -- POSTPONED

NOTE: The U.S. Day of Action and Workers First Car Caravan has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

On June 3, thousands of union members from across the country will participate in an all-out national day of action and solidarity as we call on Congress and state and local governments to implement America's Five Economic Essentials and passage of the HEROES Act. A socially distanced car caravan has been organized for Washington, DC as well as other actions across the country to demand that elected officials adopt the 5 Economic Essentials.

America's 5 Economic Essentials include:

  • Keeping front-line workers safe and secure
  • Keeping workers employed and protecting earned pension checks
  • Keeping state and local governments, our public schools and the U.S. Postal Service solvent and working
  • Keeping America healthy--protecting and expanding health insurance for all workers
  • Keeping America competitive--hire people to build infrastructure
To help labor get ready for June 3, the AFL-CIO has developed an online Workers First Caravan toolkit, which includes tips for planning an action, sample op-eds and newsletters, digital graphics, a link to order placards and more.

IFPTE will join the car caravan in Washington, DC. If you are interested in joining or if you or your Local will be participating in an event, please contact IFPTE.
