Local 70 Members Employed at Center for Community Change Ratify First Union Contract

On July 24th staff at the Center for Community Change voted unanimously in support of their inaugural contract, which includes staff salary increases and the creation of a CCC Labor-Management Committee to address workplace issues, among other positive benefits.

Bargaining team representative, Jasmine Nazarett, called the contract, “a big win…”, while Local 70 President Alan Barber said the union is, “thrilled that CCC staff have joined the ranks of non-profit workers with strong union contracts.”

The contract ratification comes after CCC staff won union recognition last September, joining Local 70 which represents workers at non-profit organizations dedicated to building stronger democratic workplaces.
