SUP/IFPTE Local 160 Endorses Global Action on Climate Change

This week, the Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160) urged all members to join the effort to stop catastrophic climate change by participating in the week-long global actions, running from September 20 to 27.

“While events will be ongoing around the world, it is essential to take part here in Canada during the federal election to pressure all parties to take decisive action to save Earth as we know it, says Chris Graham, Local 160 Executive Vice-President, who coordinated a morning action in conjunction with the Toronto & York Region Labour Council on September 20.

The action was held as a lead up to a much larger mass rally which will take place on September 27 from 11am-2pm, where thousands of people will be gathering at Ontario’s legislature to call for climate action now.
