Save the Date! Women and Unions International Conference Call Series - March 7th

In recognition of International Women’s Day next month, the IFPTE Women’s Solidarity Network (WSN) is launching our Women and Unions International Conference Call Series on March 7th! Scheduled to occur twice a year, the conference calls will connect WSN with the broader IFPTE membership. The mandate of WSN is to promote the voice of IFPTE women, increase their involvement, and strengthen solidarity within our union.

The topic for the first WSN Women and Unions International Conference Call will focus on women organizing in the workplace! The call will feature guest speaker Jennifer Dorning, Research Director and Assistant to the President from the Department of Professional Employees (DPE), AFL-CIO. Her talk will touch on DPE’s research findings on the views of professional working women with insight into why women unionize and what issues are important to them.

Join the call and explore with us how professional women are organizing and changing their workplaces! Conference call registration details will be released soon. Save the date - March 7, 2018 at 2pm EST (Washington DC time zone).
