Senator Peters Leads Senate Letter Urging Protection for Federal Collective Bargaining

Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Ranking Senator Gary Peters led a letter this week to Senate leaders in support of House passed language aimed at protecting federal employee collective bargaining rights.

The letter, which was signed by 44 Senators and urges passage of House-passed language to defund the ability of the Federal Services Impasses Panel to unilaterally impose draconian contracts, reminded leaders that, “At a time when the right to unionize in both the public and private sectors is increasingly under attack, we must affirm our support for workers and labor rights.”
