WSN Conference Call a Great Success

The IFPTE Women’s Solidarity Network pulled off another successful conference call on October 24. Fifty-five participants registered to dial-in to learn about Race, Gender and the Workplace. Featured speaker, Patricia Chong from the Association of Management, Administrative and Crown Employees of Ontario, guided participants through frequently used terms, labour market dynamics, and discussed how professionals are differently impacted.

The conference call also showcased innovative work various IFPTE Locals are doing to address race and genders barriers at work. Thank you to the following individuals and Locals who contributed to the success of the conference call:

Tryshanda Moton, Area Vice-President, IFPTE Local 29 – Moderator
Debra Grabelle, Executive Director, IFPTE Local 21
Dede Chance, Treasurer, IFPTE Local 12
