Wins and Losses Included in FY20 Bipartisan Spending Agreement

In a memorandum to all IFPTE locals this week, IFPTE informed members that, “There are a number of issues that IFPTE has been working that impact our members and that are tied up in these appropriations bills"

Issues discussed in the memo include Export-Import Bank Funding, Cadillac Tax repeal, federal employee pay raise, and maintaining federal employee benefits. The memo also notes language defending judicial independence and union rights for Immigration Judges, preventing agencies and the Federal Service Impasses Panel from unilaterally imposing contracts, and stopping the possible dismantling of the Office of Personnel Management did not make into the spending agreement.
