A Disaster-Proof Social Safety Net for Canadians (CLC Webinar)

As part of the Forward Together campaign, the Canadian Labour Congress will be hosting a webinar titled, A Disaster-Proof Social Safety Net For Canadians on October 28 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The discussion will focus on education, housing, child care and other programs that can level the playing field.

This crisis has shone a light on some of the vast inequalities in this country. As we move towards recovery, it’s clear we have to strengthen the social safety net and disaster-proof our nation. When the next economic disaster hits, we need to make sure that our social safety net is there for everyone. We also need a plan that actually works for families. We’ve seen what can be done when we all come together. Working together is the only way forward.
