Family and Community Pay Tribute to Brother Tim Rudolph

IFPTE Local 195 President/Atlantic Council President, Tim Rudolph, was honored last week in Patterson, New Jersey following his untimely passing on Sunday, March 27th. 

His funeral was organized by his wife, Eleanor, and was attended throughout the day by hundreds of family, friends and elected leaders from all walks of life.  Tim’s labor family came from far and wide to honor him, including rank-and-file Local 195 members, New Jersey AFL-CIO president Charlies Wowkanech and Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennan, and IFPTE officers and staff from across the nation and Canada. 

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and countless other elected leaders also were also in attendance.  IFPTE president Matt Biggs commented, “Brother Rudolph was dedicated to his family and dedicated to labor, something that was reinforced by speaker after speaker at his funeral.  His contributions and legacy will live on here at IFPTE for decades to come.” 

Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson noted, “while we are all grieving, we are hopeful that Tim’s family will take comfort in knowing that he has improved the lives of thousands upon thousands of workers and their families.” 

IFPTE Executive Vice President/IFPTE Local 195 Business Manager Gerry Newsome called Brother Rudolph, “my true Brother who will live on through all of us, and through the many lives he has touched and helped throughout his extraordinary life.” 

IFPTE Local 196 President/IFPTE Atlantic Area Vice President Sean McBride said, “Tim’s service and the many tributes he received from his union family were beautiful indeed, and worthy of the peaceful and humble man he was.”  We miss you, Brother Tim Rudolph – RIP.
