IFPTE Hosts Its Spring Executive Council Meeting, Seats Two New Vice Presidents

Among the highlights of this week’s Spring 2020 IFPTE Executive Council Meeting was the installation of two Vice Presidents: WAPSO/IFPTE Local 162 President Richard Mahe for the Canadian Area, and SPEEA/IFPTE Local 2001 Midwest Council Chair Matthew Joyce for the SPEEA Area. Mahe and Joyce replace Misty Hughes-Newman and Ronda Cockrell, both who recently retired.

The Council, which met via Zoom, adopted IFPTE’s Fiscal Year 2021 budget proposal and reviewed last year’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget; discussed worker safety measures that need to be adopted in Canada and the United States prior to re-opening the economy, and; heard a comprehensive legislative and organizing report from IFPTE staff and executive officers.

IFPTE's Fall 2020 Executive Council Meeting is scheduled for November.
