IFPTE Pounds the Pavement in Philadelphia in Support of Labor Candidates

IFPTE President Matt Biggs and International Representative David LaFemina joined in solidarity with the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO this week to canvass union households in support of labor’s endorsed candidates, including Josh Shapiro for Pennsylvania Governor and John Fetterman for the United States Senate.

LaFemina, who regularly assists the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO during election season, commented that, “As the November midterm elections quickly approach, IFPTE is proud to do our part to help elect candidates who will champion labor’s legislative agenda, which is particularly important here in Philadelphia where Local 3 is located.”

Matt Biggs also commented, saying that, “it is important that IFPTE continue to put boots on the ground in support of those candidates that have a record and background of support for working families, and for strengthening collective bargaining.  Both Secretary Treasurer Henson and I thank all of the IFPTE locals and members that also join the larger labor movement in supporting labor endorsed candidates like these here in Pennsylvania.”
