Last weekend, IFPTE leaders and members in New Jersey joined other labor leaders and members to support Governor Phil Murphy and other labor-endorsed state candidates for office at the Hudson Councy CLC Labor Walk in Jersey City.  Governor Murphy also stopped by to meet and thank union leaders and volunteers for their support and efforts.

IFPTE President Matt Biggs, Atlantic Area Vice President/Local 196 President Sean McBride, Atlantic Council President/Local 195 President Tim Rudolph, and Hudson County CLC President/Local 194 President Barry Kushnir were joined by upwards of 500 union members, including nearly 100 IFPTE members at the union rally for Governor Phil Murphy.

The rally was also attended by New Jersey AFL-CIO President Charlie Wowkanech and Secretary-Treasurer Laurel Brennen, gave Governor Murphy the opportunity to thank all the union volunteers for their support of his candidacy.  President Biggs also thanked the volunteers while reminding everyone that, “Governor Murphy is as pro-labor and pro-worker as any governor in our nation and labor is proud to stand with him.”

Other unions that were well represented at last weekend's labor walk include AFT, AFSCME, CWA, IBEW, ILA, LIUNA, IUOE, IUPAT, and UA.
