Organize Now: For a Decent Work Future (10/13)
Don't miss the opportunity to add your energy and activism to the strength of the movement. The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) and the Fight for $15 and Fairness have been co-hosting online decent work organizing meetings every 4 weeks. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday October 13 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm EDT.
The focus of these monthly meetings is to organize for:
Safe and healthy workplaces (Status for all workers; Employer-paid PPE; Social distancing at work and in all staff quarters; Employer-paid sick leave; Right to refuse unsafe work)
Employer-paid sick days for all (At least 7 paid sick days permanently, and an additional 14 days during health outbreaks)
Decent income for all (Extend CERB; Fix EI; Make pandemic pay permanent; Raise the minimum wage)
Strong communities (Food security; Affordable housing; Accessible public transit; Solidarity)
