Sign the AFL-CIO Petition on Student Debt
As is consistent with Resolution Number 11 that passed overwhelmingly at IFPTE’s 60th Constitutional convention last August, IFPTE is urging Locals and their members to join the AFL-CIO’s online campaign to forgive student debt.
The campaign, which is specifically asking union members to sign a petition urging the Biden Administration to cancel student debt, is a reminder that, “Organized labor was built on the foundation of creating a pathway to the middle class for everyone. But skyrocketing student loan debt has become an insurmountable obstacle to achieving this goal.”
