IFPTE’s 2025 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Winners

We are honored to announce the winners of the 2025 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Awards. While there were many notable applicants, only four scholarships were awarded to children and/or grandchildren of IFPTE members in the Public, Federal, Private, and Canadian sectors. Each of our applicants was asked to write an essay on “What Being a Member of a Union Family Means to Me?” We are proud to present the 2025 Dominick D. Critelli, Jr. Scholarship Winners.

Kamryn Monroe

Kamryn Monroe - Federal Sector Winner

Kamryn Monroe earned the 2025 scholarship award for IFPTE’s Federal Sector. She is the daughter of Local 1 member Pamela Thomas-Monroe. Kamryn attended Lakeland High School, and she is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Andrew Jimenez - Public Sector Winner

Andrew Jimenez earned the 2025 scholarship award for IFPTE’s Public Sector. Andrew’s mother, Alexia Kapiniaris-Jimenez, is a member of IFPTE Local 21. Andrew graduated from De La Salle High School and now attends UCLA.

Ava Higginbotham earned the 2025 scholarship award for IFPTE’s Private sector. She is the daughter of IFPTE Local 2001 member Scott Higginbotham. Ava graduated from ….. High School, and is a freshman at UCLA.
