Gus Vallejo
Western Area VP

A member of IFPTE Local 21’s IT Chapter, Gus has been employed by the City and County of San Francisco as a Principal Business Systems Analyst for over 21 years and serves as an Area Vice President for IFPTE’s Western Area.

Gus Vallejo also serves as President of IFPTE Local 21, having been elected to the position in 2017.

Previously, Gus served as San Francisco Vice President from 2013 to 2018, IT Chapter President from 2009 to 2013 and IT Chapter Vice President from 2007 to 2009.

Gus has been directly involved in the selection and hiring of IFPTE Local 21’s last two Executive Directors, having served on both the 2006 and 2018 Executive Director Search Committees.

A delegate to the San Francisco Labor Council, Gus has also been a delegate to every IFPTE International Convention from 2009 forward.

Gus has done volunteer work using his technology skills to help bridge the digital divide by assisting in  repurposing computers for student use in a low income inner city high school, setting up cyber security for the local offices of the Sierra Club and providing technology consulting to local non-profits in the Asian Pacific Islander and Latinx communities.
