AFL-CIO’s Industrial Union Council Urges Senate to Reject House Cuts to Clean Energy Credits
The House-passed budget reconciliation bill not only slashes Medicaid, but it also reverses energy tax credits for clean energy technologies supported by IFPTE, which were approved by Congress and signed into law by former President Joe Biden as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
In response the AFL-CIO’s Industrial Union Council (IUC), of which IFPTE is a member, sent a letter this week to Senate Majority Leader Thune and Minority Leader Schumer urging them, “to reject the repeal of these provisions to maintain these investments that are so critical to U.S. manufacturing workers, and instead work to continue strengthening our domestic industrial base.”
