CALL TO ACTION: Unite for Veterans, Unite for America Rally
On June 6, the Unite for Veterans, Unite for America Rally will bring thousands of union members, veterans, military families and community leaders to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This is more than a protest—it’s a recommitment to the promises made to those who served and a defense of the values that define our democracy.
Across the country, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: When veterans speak out about how dysfunction in Washington and unchecked corporate influence are harming them, people listen. These are not political talking points—they’re real stories of nurses in the Department of Veterans Affairs losing their jobs, combat veterans losing access to care, and families being thrown into crisis. The American people recognize that the promise made to our veterans is being broken.
The Union Veterans Council of the AFL-CIO is spearheading the effort to organize this powerful coalition. Under the leadership of Executive Director Will Attig, this initiative is elevating those voices and making sure this crisis is seen—by lawmakers, by the public, and by every American who still believes service should be honored, not discarded.
Let’s make this a defining moment for veterans, our movement, and the future of our country.
