Eight Years On, IFPTE Remembers the Victims of Sandy Hook, Including Local 136-13's Anne Marie Murphy

December 14th, marks the eight year anniversary in which 26 people were tragically killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, including young children and their educators.

Among the victims was paraeducator Anne Marie Murphy, who was a proud member of IFPTE Local 136-13.

IFPTE President, Paul Shearon and Secretary-Treasurer, Matt Biggs issued the following statement on behalf of the entire IFPTE family: “December 14th is a day to remember our Union Sister, Anne Marie Murphy, her colleagues and her young students who were tragically killed during the school day at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The IFPTE family will not forget them, and will continue to celebrate their lives and mourn for their families.”
