IFPTE Endorses Tania Nemer for Summit County Judge
“Judge Nemer will serve with integrity and honor”
WASHINGTON, DC – On behalf of its 90,000 members throughout North America, the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) is proud to endorse Tania Nemer for Summit County Judge. Nemer, a former member of the National Association of Immigration Judges (NAIJ/IFPTE Judicial Council 2), had served nearly two years as a United States Immigration Judge before being illegally terminated by the Trump Administration. IFPTE’s executive officers offered their full backing of Judge Nemer.
Matt Biggs, IFPTE International President - “Judge Nemer is a person of unquestioned ethics and integrity and there is little doubt that she will serve the people of Summit County proudly if elected to the bench. She is a former member of NAIJ/IFPTE Judicial Council 2, a proud Union member, and a dedicated public servant. IFPTE is honored to support her candidacy.”
Gay Henson, IFPTE International Secretary-Treasurer - “Judge Nemer demonstrates a profound respect for the law and will serve with honor, just as she has done as a United States Immigration Judge. IFPTE is proud to support her candidacy because we know she will bring the same professionalism, sound judgment, and unwavering commitment to justice to the Summit County bench.”
Nemer is running to serve on the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio while challenging her illegal firing as an immigration judge. She has been featured by National Public Radio, and has made an appearance on Democracy Now. Learn more about her candidacy for Judge at nemerforjudge.com.
