SOLIDARITY ALERT: Society Hydro One Local, Stuart Craig, stands in Solidarity with Unifor auto workers
Unifor President, Lena Payne with Hyrdro One Local Council Member, Stuart Craig
Brother Stuart Craig, Delegate and Joint Health & Safey Co-Chair of the Society of United Professionals Hydro One Local-IFPTE Local 160, recently rallied alongside auto workers represented by Canada’s largest private sector union, Unifor, to oppose the Trump Administration’s reckless and irresponsible tariffs on Canada. The rally, held on April 26th, was attended by members of the broader Windsor-Essex Labour Council, as well as provincial and national political leaders. Stuart commented on the ongoing support for Unifor represented auto workers: “It is critically important that all of us in labour stand strong against these assaults from the Trump Administration on Canadian working families. Having recently joined the Windsor-Essex Labour Council, I was honoured to stand with them and other union members at the rally. I proudly flew the Society flag to show that my union stands with Unifor auto workers, and I had the opportunity to meet and rally with Unifor National President Lana Payne and Ontario’s Provincial Opposition Leader Marit Styles of the NDP. I am proud to know that my union, the Society and the IFPTE stand strong against these senseless Trump tariffs, and I am here to help our union fight back.” THANK YOU, Stuart!
