Electrical Safety Authority Members Ratify Agreement, End Strike


The striking Society/IFPTE Local 160-represented safety professionals at the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) have reached an agreement with the employer after 13 days on the picket line. The members and the employer have now both voted to ratify the agreement.

The members at the ESA went on strike looking for a fair and equitable deal. They achieved far more than was possible before the strike. The IFPTE is tremendously proud of the incredible resolve of the members.

Society members at the ESA are some of the best professionals in their industry. They are now returning to the jobs they do so well: Supporting the electrification of Ontario’s economy and keeping the people of this province safe from electrical harm.
