On September 30, 2026, IFPTE recognizes Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the annual national holiday committed to memorializing the victims and survivors of the Canadian Indian Residential School system, whose purpose was to strip Indigenous peoples of their cultures, identities, languages, and ways of life.
