Attacks on Public Services and Unions Spreads to Chile – IFPTE Stands in Solidarity with Agrupacion Nacional de Emploeados (ANEF) – the National Association of Fiscal Employees

IFPTE was proud to lend our support to the members and leaders of one of Chile’s largest public sector Unions, and fellow affiliate of Public Services International (PSI), the National Association of Fiscal Employees (Agrupacion Nacional de Emploeados [ANEF]), who travelled to Washington, DC this week to testify before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), an autonomous affiliate of the Organization of American States (OAS). 

As a part of our support, IFPTE legislative director, Faraz Khan, and president, Matt Biggs, joined ANEF Youth Technical Secretary/National Director, Nuvia Guajardo Levia, and her colleagues on Capitol Hill on Thursday for meetings with key congressional offices overseeing Western Hemisphere issues.  Guarjardo Levia and her colleagues testified before the IACHR on Wednesday and Biggs attended the hearing in Solidarity.
