Last weekend, representatives from IFPTE Locals attended the Labor Notes conference in Chicago. The Labor Notes Conference is one of the biggest annual gatherings of grassroots labor activists from across the country, and it has many international attendees as well. Thousands of union members, officers, and labor activists who are on the front lines in the workplace and across communities participate in the conference, sharing stories and methods of organizing and agitation.

IFPTE Stands Strong with the Plate Printers Union in Their Fight for a Fair Contract

The International Plate Printers, Die Stampers, and Engravers Union of North America (Plate Printers) has been negotiating a contract with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) for over six years, and the union demanded BEP’s parent agency tell BEP management bargain in good faith.. IFPTE members and leaders, including President Biggs, were on hand to support the Plate Printers union demands.

Local 121 Scores Decisive Arbitration Win Against OCHR, San Diego & OPC

IFPTE Local 121 was notified this week by the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) that they prevailed against the Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR), San Diego, and the Overseas Processing Centers involving a representational dispute for Navy civilian workers represented by Local 121 living and working in Guam.
