IFPTE Recognizes Labour Day as Secretary-Treasurer Henson and IFPTE Members Across North America Honor Workers

Secretary-Treasurer Gay Henson was one of countless IFPTE leaders and members that participated in Labour Day festivities across the United States and Canada. Henson provided inspirational words of Solidarity at the Chattanooga Central Labor Council and Georgia Highlands Labor Chapter festivities on Monday, while members of the Society of United Professionals (SUP/IFPTE Local 160) were out in force at Toronto’s annual Labour Day March. Several IFPTE Locals participated in Labour Day events across North America including Local 21 in San Francisco, Local 195 in New Jersey, and Locals 1921 and 29 in the DC area, among many others. 

IFPTE’s international officers also provided their annual open letter to IFPTE’s 90,000 members across North America, writing that, “While there is little doubt that 2026 is perhaps the most challenging year that IFPTE, our labour movement and all of us as workers have faced in modern times, it is also accurate that our resolve and our Solidarity together as IFPTE members have been as rock-solid as they have ever been.”
