SPEEA Negotiations Team Receives Boeing Final Offer
The SPEEA Negotiation Team has concluded bargaining with Boeing and has received the company’s final offer. Details of the offers will be presented to the Bargaining Unit Councils of the Prof and Tech units at the regularly scheduled Northwest Council meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, and then shared with the general membership.
A date for the contract vote will be announced later.
Highlights of the offers include:
A 10% Guaranteed Wage Increase (GWI) for all Prof and Tech unit-represented workers effective Oct. 16.
A 4% GWI for all Prof and Tech unit-represented workers in March 2027.
6% annual wage pools for 2028, 2029 and 2030, with each year having a 4% guaranteed increase for all.
Revised language regarding work-from-home, overtime limits for Prof unit members and a new process for communicating Boeing’s future workforce needs to help SPEEA members plan their careers at the company.
Given the improvements, the SPEEA Negotiation Team is recommending members accept the offers.
Team credits member activism
The SPEEA team credited the activism of the union’s members for moving Boeing to a better proposal than the one rejected on Aug. 21. Since then, thousands of union members have taken part in marches and rallies on Boeing property around the Northwest.
“The results of these negotiations could not have been possible without the unity and solidarity that our members have shown over the last few weeks,” Team members said in a joint statement. “These offers are the result of your work. They represent a real step forward toward improving our pay and work lives and rebuilding the relationship between Boeing leadership and our union’s members.”
