IFPTE Applauds Bipartisan Federal Workforce Caucus Letter Calling on Congress to Approve a 2027 Federal Pay Raise
IFPTE was pleased to see that 110 members of Congress, lead by Federal Workforce Caucus leaders, Reps. James Walkinshaw, Steny Hoyer and Brian Fitzpatrick, and Senator Chris Van Hollen, signed a letter to House and Senate leadership this week urging them to, “reject the Trump Administration’s proposed pay freeze and work to provide federal employees with a meaningful pay increase in 2027 that keeps pace with the rising cost of living,” and, “include a federal employee pay increase of no less than 3.8 percent, and preferably the 4.1 percent provided under the FAIR Act, in Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations legislation.”
