Rhode Island AFL-CIO Steps Up Strong in Support of Federal Workers – Urges Support of Norcross Collective Bargaining Restoration Language

Rhode Island AFL-CIO President, Patrick Crowley, alerted his senior Senator, Jack Reed, that the entire labor movement in his state stands strong behind bipartisan legislative language authored by New Jersey Congressman, Donald Norcross, to restore collective bargaining rights for DOD workers.   In an August 18th letter to Reed, who is the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Crowley urged the Senator to, “leverage your position as the Ranking Senator on SASC to ensure the inclusion of the HASC-passed bipartisan Norcross amendment in the final FY27 NDAA.”  Brother Crowley’s letter is in addition to IFPTE Local 400 president/Northeastern Area vice president, Denise Robinson’s June 26th letter urging the same.
