IFPTE Members Descend on Washington, DC for IFPTE’s 25th Annual Legislative Advocacy Conference

Nearly 100 IFPTE leaders and members from across the United States and Canada traveled to Washington, DC for IFPTE’s annual legislative advocacy conference.

This year’s conference was a historic one, as it marked the Federation’s 25th year of hosting this conference and proved to be a huge success.  IFPTE members scheduled meetings across Capitol Hill with staff and lawmakers in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.  Well over 500 meetings took place where IFPTE was able to present our issues to our Congressional representatives.

Among the highlights of the conference was an address to participants by Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen and the closing reception at the IFPTE Union House.  IFPTE thanks all of those who attended, with a special note of appreciation to IFPTE legislative director, Faraz Khan.  The full complement of IFPTE 2026 issues briefs, including all of those covering federal sector issues are available on the IFPTE webpage.
